"Maximizing Return"

Aesthetics of Survivability

The time has come to address marketplace need rather than individual greed. In this instance the use of the term marketplace is analogous to societal. The party is over as awareness of the depth and breadth of the new economics take hold and become apparent to all. Prognostications of rapid recovery are along the lines of feeding candy to a small child who has had a minor accident. The hope in that instance would be upon realization that no real injury was sustained that the candy would calm the child down and prevent a tearful episode arising out of the imagined insult to youthful pride. Similarly, in the adult world delaying communal perception of the reality that the economic bottom won’t be reached until sometime in 2013 and that the recovery getting us back to the heights reached prior to the recent global fall from grace, will last 3 decades more or less is a purposeful deceit employed by the powers that be to slow the public awakening. Engineering a gradual recognition of this truth, justified by a “you can’t handle the truth” rationale is considered a beneficent mission by the controlling elite who want to save us from any untoward emotional distress.

I suppose the unrestricted giving away of vast sums of wealth to the industrial and financial elite will continue barring anything unforeseen such as something along the lines of unique and amazing proportions such as the populace banding together and rising up to revolt against the illusory rule of law, gathering en masse. Yes there certainly will plenty of suffering to go around.

I don’t understand how the Automobile Companies can recover even with substantial loans. Who will be left to buy these cars, no matter whether they be fuel efficient or gas guzzlers? We’ll all be lucky to afford the $2500 Tata Motors Nano! I am plagued by such doubts about the so called recovery. I am plagued by thoughts of intrigue and conspiracy that this was all engineered as an exercise in the redistribution of global wealth. God help us poor Americans now that we’ll have to compete head to head with the Asian brainiacs. Lo No Contendre, it’ll be no contest for generations. For instance China has more top notch academically advanced students than the USA has students. Let us not even discuss the business acumen and mathematical excellence of the Indian populace. No my friends the Energy Elite have no allegiance to culture or country. They have paid their henchmen well. The goals have been achieved. Want proof? Look no further than those that keep their ill gotten booty. I have seen no clawbacks of the insane salaries and stratospheric bonuses undeservedly and fraudulently taken by corporate and financial leaders. I mean what was the real purpose of Trickle Down Economics, Deregulation and the cultivation of impotent regulatory agencies? Wake Up America!

I foresee waves of the unemployed as well as new generations coming of age in an environment where there is no hope of earning a living. Food and shelter are mere dreams of yesteryear.

I am NOT Religious. However I’ll use religion to motivate generosity if it will help. The only solution might be perhaps if we all band together and support ourselves as well as our neighbor as the good book says.

Banding together in working coops and communes might just help us through this catastrophic time. Farming communes could be developed in places such as upstate New York. I am envisioning a compound where muscle would be repaid with food and shelter and healthcare as well as perhaps a modest stipend for clothing and personal sundries. Youthful interns would have a place to go and perhaps learn a trade. The trend towards the consumption of local produce within 150 miles of the consumer supports this notion.

Likewise tech communes could develop providing similar services to what is found in Silicon Valley today. Writers, Marketers, PR people and other artsy creative types could join together in communes that could also house production facilities and data centers for hosting.

Are we to just wait until the bread lines are pandemic? Are we to sit idly by and wait for the worst, the sum of all fears?

Let’s at least plan to avoid the unthinkable. Let’s at least band together before we start going after each other.
